Patna, Dec 27(Reporter) BJP leaders on Friday paid tributes to former PM Dr Manmohan Singh who passed away on Thursday at the age of 92. A programme was organised at the state headquarters of BJP here to pay tributes to former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh. Senior leaders of the party paid rich tributes to Dr Singh and described his death as a great loss to the nation. Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal while paying the tributes said, "The nation has lost a visionary leader and an accomplished economist". Jaiswal expressing his deep sorrow over the demise of Dr. Manmohan Singh said, "Dr Manmohan Singh’s passing is an irreparable loss to the nation. He was a distinguished economist, a humble statesman, and a dedicated leader who played a significant role in the country’s progress. His simplicity, wisdom, and commitment to duty will remain an inspiration for generations." BJP leader prayed for the departed soul’s peace and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. "Dr Singh’s life exemplified selfless service to the nation and pioneering economic reforms. The BJP family will always remember his invaluable contributions", he maintained. Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha also paid tributes, recalling Dr. Singh’s pivotal role in shaping the nation’s economic and political landscape. The gathering concluded with a two-minute silence observed by BJP workers and leaders as a mark of respect to the late Prime Minister.
