BJP reiterates its claim on Ratnagiri, Raigad, Maval Lok Sabha seats

Kolhapur / Ratnagiri, Mar 3 (Reporter) The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday reiterated its claim on three Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra, namely Ratnagiri, Raigad and Maval. Addressing a press conference at Ratnagiri this evening, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who has been given responsibility of Ratnagiri, Raigad and Maval LS seats, reiterated the party's claim on these three Lok Sabha constituencies and asserted that the party's candidates will contest upcoming elections from these constituencies. He further said that he is visiting these three constituencies to gauge feelings of party workers and then convey the same to party seniors. Sawant emphasised that he was here not to reply to their ally Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader Ramdas Kadam's statement but to campaign for National Democratic Alliance and BJP, and he was merely expressing BJP workers' feelings. Notably, after BJP asserted its claim over the Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha constituency, Kadam strongly countered it, asking whether BJP wants to eliminate all political parties and be the lone contender in upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
