Kolkata, Apr 14 (Reporter) Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar on Monday said the BJP would explore all avenues, including political and judicial, for extension of the deployment of the Central forces in Murshidabad until normalcy was restored and confidence of the people returned.
He said the persecution of the poor people by the alleged jihadi to be communicated to Union Home minister Amit Shah and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda.
He said the BJP had opened a control room with two special helplines – 9339911793 and 8670376144 to attend to distress calls and communicate them to the authorities.
The Union Minister said he had visited a relief camp at Baishnabnagar in Malda, where some 400 people from Murshidabad had fled home for their lives and took shelter.
He said many oppressed people have taken shelter in Malda after fleeing from various parts of Murshidabad due to the " barbaric torture by violent fundamentalist forces."
Hundreds of people rendered homeless due to brutal attacks by the jihadi forces and have taken shelter in Maldah’s Paralal High School grounds. He said he had visited the relief camp and assured them of support in this crisis.
