BJP victory in Delhi due to lack of unity between Congress and AAP, say INDIA bloc leaders

Mumbai, Feb 8 (Reporter) After the victory of BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections, party leaders from the INDIA bloc criticised the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for their lack of unity during the polls. On the crushing defeat of the ruling AAP, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said that the Delhi assembly election results could have been different if Congress and AAP had united against the BJP. Both parties, despite being allies in the INDIA bloc, competed individually in the Delhi elections. Raut also accused the Election Commission of ignoring "voter manipulation tactics" as allegedly used in Maharashtra. He alleged that the "Maharashtra pattern of voter manipulation was repeated in Delhi and the Election Commission kept its eyes closed". The BJP won 48 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly, with the AAP being reduced to just 22. The Congress failed to win any seats. Meanwhile, Nationalist Congress Party (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar, in a post on X, congratulated the BJP for its success but said the "arrogance of the Congress and the AAP" resulted in their drubbing in Delhi elections. He went on to add that had the parties contested together, "the BJP would not have won even 20 seats"...////...
