Mumbai, Apr 14 (Reporter) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Sunday described BJP's manifesto as a 'Fekunama' (false promises) and said that people will not be fooled by this 'electoral gimmick' of BJP.
Talking to media persons in Nagpur, he said that BJP which had left farmers, small businessmen and youth in lurch for last 10 years, remembered them again in this Lok Sabha elections and mentioned them in its manifesto.
"BJP cheated youths of the country in the name of jobs, cheated farmers on pretext of doubling their income, cheated small traders and public through GST to fill the pockets of industrialist Gautam Adani and BJP is trying to cheat these elements again," he alleged.
The (Narendra) Modi government worked only for Adani for last 10 years, he further alleged and claimed that this government was the Adani government.
The MPCC chief further claimed that issues that were mentioned by BJP in its previous manifestos of 2014 and 2019 elections are the same in today's manifesto.
"Even the promise of Uniform Civil Code was given in the previous elections, so why BJP has not implemented it till now despite having a majority, did anyone stop them," he asked.
While referring to issue of 'one nation, one election', he expressed fear that it means no more elections in the country.
"People will no longer fall prey to false promises of BJP. People have resolved to oust BJP from power in this Lok Sabha elections," added Patole...////...
