Bengaluru, Oct 23 (Reporter) In a significant political development, Karnataka BJP leader CP Yogeshwar met with Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday to discuss potential collaboration as the state prepares for the Channapatna bypolls. This meeting follows HD Kumaraswamy's recent election to the Lok Sabha, which has heightened the urgency of political manoeuvres within the region. Reports indicate that Yogeshwar is scheduled to hold a press conference at 11:30 am at the KPCC headquarters, where he is expected to announce his joining of the Congress party. Should he proceed with this transition, he is likely to be positioned as the Congress candidate for the Channapatna seat. Kumaraswamy revealed in a recent statement that BJP national president JP Nadda had reached out to him, suggesting that Yogeshwar resign from the BJP and consider joining the Janata Dal (Secular) with a commitment to being fielded as a candidate. He emphasised the significance of alliances over individual seat contests, stating, “I want the NDA winning.
