BMW crash: Police to grill Mihir till July 16, to identify harbourers

Mumbai, July 10 (Reporter) A Mumbai court on Wednesday remanded Mihir Shah, the prime accused in the Worli BMW hit-and-run case, to police custody till July 16 for questioning and identifying suspects who offered him shelter while he was on the run for two days. Magistrate P B Bhosle sent Shah to police remand after they informed the court that they needed his custody also for recovering the missing number plate of the BMW car. Shah, 24, son of a Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah, was arrested on Tuesday, two days after he allegedly rammed his BMW car into a two-wheeler, killing a woman and leaving her husband injured. Besides Shah, a few other persons, who were allegedly partying with him till early Sunday morning, have also been rounded up. The accused’s father, Rajesh Shah, was also briefly arrested in the case before being granted bail. On Wednesday, the Shiv Sena removed him from the post of Deputy Leader of the party...////...
