Patna, Nov 29 (Reporter) Both Houses of Bihar legislature were adjourned sine die on Friday after the end of its short winter session. Winter session of Bihar Legislative Assembly and Bihar Legislative Council had started on November 25 and were adjourned sine die after disposal of listed business. Altogether there are five sittings of both the Houses during the session. Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav in his concluding speech, said that legislators had raised a number of issues of public importance during winter session. He said that five important bills including second supplementary budget for the financial year 2024-25, Bihar Goods and Services Tax (second amendment) Bill 2024, Bihar Sports University (amendment), Bihar Appropriation(4) Bill 2024, Bill for declaring properties of Bettiah Raj as state properties 2024, Bihar Government Premises (allotment, rent, realisation and eviction) Amendment Bill 2024, were passed in the house. He appreciated and expressed his gratitude towards members, officials and media persons for their vital roles and support extended to him to ensure smooth transaction of scheduled business of the House. Similarly, Chairman of Bihar Legislative Council Awadhesh Narain Singh in his concluding remarks, also appreciated the roles of members, officials and others in running the house. He thanked media persons for coverage of session of the House .After disposal of scheduled business, Chairman adjourned the House sine die.
