After the meeting with the CS, the aspirants said the discussion took place in a constructive and positive atmosphere. The Chief Secretary carefully listened to their grievances and assured them to consider their demands at the earliest. The candidates stated that their next step would depend on the government's decision and maintained that their agitation would continue till the government concedes their demands. Meanwhile, BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai called on Bihar governor RV Arlekar and apprised him of the situation. Parmar is learnt to have informed the Governor that Commission was not ready to conduct a reexamination. Earlier he had already ruled out cancellation of the 70th PT held on December 13 which got mired in allegations of question paper leak, malpractices, and other irregularities. Meanwhile, the founder of Jan Suraaj Prashant Kishore who came out in support of the agitation and led the march of the aspirants from the historical Gandhi Maidan of Patna on Sunday after conducting student parliament gave an ultimatum of 48 hours to the government to solve the issues of the aspirants. If the demands of the aspirants were not considered, he threatened to move to the court. While addressing the media persons PK said that he would sit on dharna from January two if the demands of the agitating aspirants were not considered. Earlier after the lathi-charge and the use of a water canon on the aspirants in the state capital on Sunday night, the BPSC aspirants had charged PK with abandoning them during police action and even asked him to leave the protest site at Patna's Gardanibagh. Later PK refuted the allegations before the media. The entire exam process has been marred by irregularities and corruption, he alleged. CPI(ML) State Secretary Kunal has strongly condemned the repressive and stubborn attitude of the government towards the ongoing movement of BPSC candidates. He has demanded that the government take their demands seriously and immediately cancel the PT examination. The controversy began on December 13, when candidates at the Bapu Examination Centre boycotted the BPSC Preliminary Test due to delayed question papers.
