Siddipet (Telangana), Feb 10 (Reporter) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have formed a secret alliance to influence the upcoming MLC elections. Addressing a media conference at Rimmanaguda, Gajwel constituency in Siddipet, Goud questioned why former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), who remains confined to his farmhouse, continues to hold opposition status. Criticising BRS leaders' stance on Backward Classes (BCs), Goud remarked, "When BRS leaders talk about BCs, it is as if demons are reciting Vedas." He also questioned why KTR and his family, who did not participate in the caste census survey, were now demanding a re-survey. On the BJP, Goud pointed out that despite having eight Members of Parliament (MPs) from Telangana, the central funds allocated to the state in the latest budget were "like donkey eggs"—practically non-existent. He accused BJP leaders of exploiting religious sentiments for political gains. Goud expressed satisfaction over Telangana's first-ever caste census survey conducted post-independence, calling it a landmark initiative. "The caste census survey sets an example for the country, and it was carried out transparently," he added...////...
