Hyderabad, Jan 20 (Reporter) BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday announced the formation of a committee under the leadership of the BRS party to investigate the agricultural crisis and the alarming rise in farmer suicides in Telangana. The committee, chaired by former Minister Niranjan Reddy, includes former ministers Satyavathi Rathod, Jogu Ramanna, and Puvvada Ajay Kumar, along with MLCs MC Kotireddy and Yadava Reddy, and former MLAs Bajireddy Govardhan, Rasamai Balakishan, and Anjaiah Yadav. KTR stated that the committee will travel across the state over two weeks to study the challenges in agriculture, the factors contributing to farmer suicides, and other related issues. The findings will be compiled into a comprehensive report, which will be submitted to the state government, the Agriculture Minister, the Agriculture Commission, and the BRS party president. The study will focus on identifying the causes of the agricultural crisis over the past year, as well as the difficulties faced by small, marginal, and tenant farmers.
