CBI detains a suspected conman for allegedly duping innocent job seekers in Bengal

Kolkata, Nov 22 (Reporter) The anti-corruption wing of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday detained a suspected conman for allegedly duping innocent job seekers with false assurance of giving them jobs in central government departments. Sources said the CBI detained one Santanu Bhattacharya from a guest house in Salt Lake during a raid in this connection. Sources said CBI sleuths from New Delhi aided by armed CRPF personnel raided two locations at Salt Lake in the eastern part of the city and Narendrapur in South 24 Parganas and detained one person. The CBI conducted raids after the Prime Minister's Office wrote to the federal agency in October after getting reports that some unscrupulous persons were duping innocent job seekers with false assurances of giving jobs in Central government departments, official sources said...////...
