CBI informs Cal HC of getting Bengal govt sanction to prosecute

Sandip Ghosh Kolkata, Jan 29 (Reporter) CBI probing alleged financial scam in West Bengal-owned RG Kar Medical College and Hospital during the tenure of Superintendent Sandip Ghosh informed Calcutta high court that it has received sanction from the government to prosecute Ghosh, court sources said on Wednesday. The Central Bureau of Investigation told the Calcutta High Court on Tuesday that it has received sanction from the West Bengal government against the former principal of RG Kar hospital. The CBI's submissions were made before the bench of Justice Tirthankar Ghosh. Sandip Ghosh had been granted bail in the larger conspiracy around the rape and murder case in which Sanjoy Roy was sentenced to life imprisonment.
