Patna, Jan 6 (Reporter) A special court framed charges against former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi in a defamation case here on Saturday.
Judge Sarika Bahalia of the special court constituted for hearing the matters involving MPs and MLAs read the charges against Modi in an open court. Modi later denied the charges after which the court directed the complainant to produce evidence.
The matter would be heard again on February 6.
As it is former BPSC chairman Ramashray Yadav had filed a defamation case against Modi in 2017.
Taking cognizance of the case, the court head summoned Modi who was later exempted from his physical appearance. Complying with the directives of the court, Modi appeared before it during the day when charges were framed and read against him.
As per the case Modi had allegedly stated in a Press Conference on August 20, 2017 that Ramashray Yadav had got the post of BPSC chairman by gifting land to the RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav...////...
