CM Fadnavis capable of seeking resignation of Dhananjay Munde: Maha minister

Sangli, Jan 26 (Reporter) Maharashtra Education Minister Chandrakant Patil said on Sunday that if there is any truth about Minister Dhananjay Munde's alleged involvement in the Massajog village Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh murder case, then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will take a right decision and immediately ask Dhananjay Munde to resign from the post. Talking to reporters after unfurling the national flag on 76th Republic day at police parade ground here, he said that investigation in Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh murder case is going on and Fadnavis, as the head of the government, is capable of taking decisions and if he feels Munde is involved in it, then he will immediately ask the minister to step down from the post, he said. He further said that the SIT has been investigating the murder case and a committee, under a retired judge, has also been constituted while suspect Walmik Karad, associate of Munde, has been booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and also likely under section 302 of Indian Penal Code. On ongoing hunger strike by Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil, Patil asked Jarange-Patil to come to Mumbai with his associates to discuss issue of Maratha reservation with legal experts. Previously, the government has fulfilled all his demands, he pointed.
