Complaint against Maha CM for violation of MCC in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 20 (Reporter) The Chief polling agent of Congress leader Naseem Khan on Wednesday filed a complaint with the Returning Officer of Chandivali Assembly Constituency Kalpana Ghode against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for alleged violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and entering into a constituency in Mumbai. Khan is the working president of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee and contesting the Assembly election from Chandivali Constituency in Mumbai. Shinde is contesting from Kopri-Pachpakhadi from the neighbouring Thane city. “As per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), candidates or any political leaders contesting elections are prohibited from entering constituencies other than their own constituency , 48 hours prior to polling day. However, Shinde along with Shiv Sena’s Chandivali candidate Dilip Lande held a road show today at around 03:08 pm. The road show was held from Kajupada Ghas compound to St. Jude High School.
