Bengaluru, Aug 18 (Reporter) The ruling Congress in Karnataka will hold protest rallies across the state on Monday against Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot's sanction for the prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam, a party leader said on Sunday. The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister and State Congress President D K Shivakumar. Shivakumar emphasized that the protests would be held in all district headquarters. He expressed strong disapproval of the Governor's decision, describing it as "a murder of democracy." He assured that the protests would be peaceful and that efforts would be made to prevent any anti-social elements from disrupting rallies.
