Hyderabad, July 12 (Reporter) Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy criticized the Congress party for coming to power in Telangana through deceitful promises and failing to deliver on their guarantees.
Speaking at the BJP State Executive meeting in Shamshabad, Reddy alleged that despite the Congress's 6 guarantees, 13 promises, and 66 items pledged within 100 days, none have been implemented after seven months in power.
Reddy praised BJP activists for their efforts in the recent elections, highlighting the party's growth from one to eight MLAs and its substantial increase in vote share from 7 percent to 15 percent.
He emphasized the BJP's commitment to addressing public grievances and its successful campaigns against the BRS party's policies.
In the parliamentary elections, the BJP secured eight Lok Sabha seats in Telangana and increased its influence in 46 legislative constituencies, reinforcing its position as a strong alternative to Congress.
Reddy criticized the Congress for its undemocratic practices, including party defections, and accused it of failing to implement its pre-election promises to various social groups.
Reddy asserted that the BJP stands for development and welfare, contrasting it with the corrupt practices of both the BRS and Congress parties.
He expressed confidence in the BJP's prospects in future elections, attributing the party's success to the dedication of its workers and the public's trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar challenged Rahul Gandhi's remarks on unemployment in BJP-ruled states, questioning Congress's governance in Telangana. "Your party is in power in Telangana, isn't it... Do you have the guts to visit Osmania University?" Kumar asked.
Kumar moved a resolution thanking the people of Telangana for supporting the Modi government for the third time. He praised the citizens for recognizing Congress's deceitful promises and electing 8 BJP MPs, establishing the party as a viable alternative in the state.
Kumar emphasized the strong bond between the people of Telangana and the BJP, highlighting the party's increased representation in both MP and MLA seats. He noted the public faith in Modi's leadership and welfare schemes, which led to the BJP's victories despite Congress's negative propaganda.
Kumar saluted BJP workers for their relentless efforts and sacrifices, attributing the party's success to their dedication. He criticized Congress and BRS for conspiring to confuse the people, reaffirming that only Modi's leadership could bring prosperity to Telangana.
He emphasized Modi's commitment to farmers, citing the implementation of the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and increased support prices as proof of BJP's reliability and dedication to the people's welfare.
BJP National Vice President DK Aruna accused the Congress party of orchestrating conspiracies to thwart the BJP's success, including spreading false propaganda that the BJP would abolish reservations and casting doubts among the electorate. She criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for disrespecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and engaging in negative publicity.
Despite these challenges, the people of Telangana chose to support the BJP, recognizing the party's commitment to further developing the state.
Aruna urged BJP activists to continue their hard work to ensure victory in the upcoming local body elections and emphasized the importance of strengthening the party at the local level.
