Congress' guarantee not fraudulent like Modi: Telangana CM

Pune, Nov 18 (Reporter) Telangana Chief Minister and Congress leader, Revanth Reddy, on Monday criticised the BJP-alliance leaders for calling the Congress guarantee as 'fraudulent'. Addressing a press conference here, he emphasised that the guarantee of Congress is not a fraudulent one like that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The announcements made by the Congress in Telangana have been implemented as soon as the party came to power there and it has given loan waiver to farmers, guaranteed price for farm produce, employment to youth, free bus travel for women, free electricity for farmers and poor and household cylinder for Rs 500, said Telangana Chief Minister. Similarly, the Congress governments in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh have also fulfilled the guarantee, he asserted and asked the BJP government to appoint a committee and send it to Telangana for inspection of implementation of schemes. "We will show them how the schemes have been implemented in Telangana," he noted. Talking about BJP's previous election manifesto, he said that BJP had promised to waive off loans to farmers, increase farmers' income, provide employment to two crore youths every year, houses to poor through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, but it has not implemented any of these plans properly, he claimed. He further criticised the BJP-alliance government in Maharashtra, alleging that this government does not have any welfare schemes for farmers, poor or unemployed. Also, Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of farmers' suicides during its rule, he alleged. He also charged that Modi did not have a single development success story when he was the chief minister of Gujarat and Prime Minister for 11 years. Modi has left the poll campaign in Maharashtra and gone abroad, he said in a taunt. Accusing BJP of breaking the country to win elections, Revanth Reddy alleged that as there are no development issues, they are creating religious polarisation by dividing Hindus-Muslims and Hindu-Christians. He said that Maharashtra is the holy land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, however, BJP has made Maharashtra a haven of traitors, he claimed. He alleged that looting of Mumbai for Gujarat is underway and claimed that BJP wants to give entire Maharashtra to industrialist Gautam Adani.
