Congress protests against NEET question paper leak

Patna, June 21( UNI) Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) staged a massive protest against the NEET question paper leak case in Patna on Friday. Accompanied by party MLCs Madan Mohan Jha, Sameer Kumar Singh and others, BPCC President Akhilesh Prasad Singh demonstrated along with several prominent leaders of the party at Income Tax roundabout, one of the busiest areas of the state capital. They shouted slogans against the BJP government and lodged a strong protest against the massive irregularities in the competitive examinations. Singh alleged that question paper leaks and other irregularities have become a routine affair in the states wherever BJP is in power. The entire education and examination system in the state has fallen prey to question paper leaks and other irregularities under BJP rule, he alleged adding that the question paper leak incidents were continuously increasing. Singh said such irregularities began with the much talked about Vyapam scam reported under the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and after Uttar Pradesh, it took Bihar in its grip. Hardly any examination was conducted in Uttar Pradesh without paper leaks or irregularities, he said and declared that keeping in mind the trend of BJP, the Congress had made paper leaks a national issue and included in its Manifesto too. The Congress leader alleged that BJP has failed to understand the values of examinations and education. The youth were already facing the unemployment scenario and now such irregularities have shattered them emotionally. Describing the youth as the future of the nation Singh said that the BJP government was jeopardising the future of the youth and the nation as a whole. "A student prepares for years to crack the examinations and the education Mafias leak the question paper under the patronage of government he said adding that such incidents were making the life of a student hell." He said the National Testing Agency has turned out to be a centre of mockery and the NEET question paper leak was not a single incident. The Congress leader demanded a thorough probe into the incident saying that the entire system and basic structure need a complete reform for maintaining the credibility of such examinations among the youth...////...
