Mumbai, Nov 20 (Reporter) Considering the public's response, the Congress will emerge as the largest party in the state and the formation of a Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in the state is certain, asserted Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Nana Patole on Wednesday. Talking to media persons after exercising his right to vote with his family in the Sakoli assembly constituency of Bhandara district in Vidarbha region, he said, "In the assembly elections, there is significant enthusiasm among the people, and the self-respecting citizens of Maharashtra will elect a government that prioritises the state's welfare." Criticising the BJP, he alleged BJP had violated constitutional norms during the elections, with its national general secretary Vinod Tawde being caught while distributing money in a hotel in Virar town of Palghar district. "What was Tawde doing there when it was not his constituency," he asked and dismissed his claim that he was meeting party workers as false. According to the rules, leaders from outside a constituency are not allowed to remain there after the end of campaign, the Congress chief pointed and argued that hence, Tawde’s explanation is false. Also, liquor bottles were found stored in a warehouse belonging to BJP candidate Wankhede, who is the personal assistant of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, he claimed. "How did the liquor stock appear in Wardha district, where liquor is prohibited? The BJP is trying to win votes by distributing money and liquor," he added. Targeting BJP for spreading misinformation in name of "vote jihad", Patole stated that "If a community appeals to vote in favour of a particular party, then BJP labels it as 'vote jihad'. Voting is a fundamental right. Now, if a community calls for voting for BJP, will they also call that 'vote jihad'...////...
