Bengaluru, April 20 (Reporter) DK Suresh, the Congress candidate from Bangalore Rural, dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to tell people what he has done in a decade for Karnataka's development as well as explain his efforts in tackling rising inflation ahead of PM's rally today. Suresh demanded that PM Modi account for the BJP's contributions to Karnataka's development as he named all his own efforts. Speaking to the media, Suresh asserted that his support in the constituency has surged compared to the last election, attributing this rise to the successful implementation of his government's five guarantees. He highlighted his efforts towards resolving both personal and governmental issues and vowed to ensure a consistent and high-quality supply of Cauvery water to areas in need. "I am getting more support as compared to the last election. The five guarantees of our government have worked for everyone. I worked hard for the development of my constituency. I tried to resolve personal and government issues. People remember all my work. I have also given plans. I have also promised that wherever Cauvery water is needed in my constituency, I assure them good quality and regular supply of water," he said. "PM Modi is coming today. He has to tell the people what he has done in the past 10 years for the development of Karnataka. How much money he has given? Why he is not controlling the price rise?" Suresh added. He attacked the BJP, accusing them of failing to deliver on their promises. He criticised the party's handling of national issues, particularly price rise and unemployment, and accused the Central government of neglecting Karnataka. He alleged discriminatory treatment towards the state, despite its significant contributions as one of the largest taxpayers in the country. With the Bangalore Rural seat set to go to polls on April 26, the political temperature is rising. The BJP has fielded CN Manjunath, the son-in-law of former PM Deve Gowda, as their candidate against Suresh. Notably, the JDS and BJP have formed an alliance for the Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka. Suresh has a history of electoral success in the region, having won the seat in both the 2019 and 2014 elections with substantial vote counts. As the election date approaches, both candidates are intensifying their campaigns, aiming to secure the support of the electorate based on their track records and promises...////...
