Bengaluru, May 18 (Reporter) A court has issued an arrest warrant against Prajwal Revanna, the Member of Parliament representing Hassan, on Saturday in connection with the Karnataka sex video scandal.
The warrant comes following a requisition made by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) currently probing the case. Despite being served a notice, Revanna did not appear before the investigating team, according to reports.
Earlier on Saturday, former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) supremo HD Deve Gowda broke his silence on the sexual harassment case involving his son HD Revanna and grandson Prajwal, emphasising that no one should be spared in the investigation. He underscored the involvement of several individuals in the case, stressing the need for action against them.
HD Revanna, a JDS MLA, was previously detained and later released on conditional bail in a kidnap case linked to the alleged sex scandal concerning his son.
Prajwal, who reportedly left for Germany on April 27, is currently at large. Efforts are underway to bring him back, with an Interpol Blue Corner Notice issued against him.
Meanwhile, endeavors are ongoing to repatriate Prajwal to India, who has been implicated in the sex video case and is presently out of the country.
