Court sentences Afghan National to 11 months imprisonment

Mumbai Jan 23 (Reporter) A local court convicted an Afghan National for residing in India with forged documents and sentenced him to 11 months imprisonment besides a fine of Rs 8,000 was imposed on him. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate convicted Afghan national Habibullah Prang (alias Zaheer Ali Khan), aged 38 years, originally from Tamer Zurmat District, Pakita Province, Afghanistan. The court also ordered his deportation to Afghanistan. According to the prosecution case, acting on confidential information, the Mumbai crime branch Unit-5 has conducted a raid and arrested the accused who was living in Wadala, Mumbai, since 2007 using forged documents, including a PAN card and a driving license issued under the name Zaheer Ali Khan. A case was registered under Sections 465, 468, and 471 of the IPC, along with Sections 12(1)(a) and 12(3) of the Passport Act, Rule 6 of the Foreigners Order, 1948, and Sections 5 and 14(a)(b) of the Foreigners Act...////...
