CPI stages protest against neglect of TN in Union Budget

Chennai, Feb 8 (Reporter) The Communist Party of India (CPI) staged a protest demonstration to condemn the Centre for neglecting Tamil Nadu in the Union Budget. The agitation, held in North Chennai, was presided over by CPI State Secretary R Mutharasan. Senior CPI leaders and Party National General Secretary D Raja and functionaries took part in the agitation during which they shouted slogans denouncing the Union government for completely boycotting TN in the Union Budget for the second successive year. The CPI is an ally of the ruling DMK in the State. Leaders of DMK, including Party President and Chief Minister M K Stalin and alliance party leaders have already condemned the Centre for boycotting TN in the Union budget...////...
