Kolkata, Feb 11 (Reporter) The CPI(M) on Sunday called for 12-hour Sandeshkhali bandh on Monday to protest against the arrest of the party's former MLA Nirapada Sardar, accused of fomenting violence at Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas, where the local administration clamped prohibitory
orders under Section 144 Cr PC since Friday night after sporadic violence.
Meanwhile, state Governor CV Anando Bose, who was on vacation in the Southern states, is expected to visit the trouble-torn Sandeshkhali on Monday.
The governor has already communicated his concern over violence at Sandeshkhali, and asked Nabanna to submit a report about the law and order situation there.
BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who had submitted a memorandum to the Rajbhawan on Saturday demanded the withdrawal of the prohibitory order and restoration of internet services at Sandeshkhali.
The Nandigram MLA has threatened to march to Sandeshkali on Monday if the demands were not met

The CPI(M) leader, and the former Sandeshkhali MLA, was first taken to the Bansdroni police station in the morning after being detained for hours and was arrested for allegedly instigating violence at Sandeshkhali.
After his arrest, the Communist leader was taken to Sandeshkhali.
CPI(M) state secretary Md Salim while condemning the arrest announced that they will gherao all police stations in the state on Monday.
The CPI(M) supporters on Sunday staged a demonstration in protest against the detention and arrest of their leader.
Nirapada Sardar was arrested following a complaint lodged by Sandeshkhali's TMC leader Shibu Hazra, whose poultry farm andfarmhouse were set on fire on Thursday by the villagers, who complained that Shubu Hazra allegedly grabbed private land of others for his farms.
CPI (M) leader and Advocate Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya said the arrest of Nirapada Saardar was unlawful as Shibu Hazra was one of the accused in the violence...////...
