Chennai, Nov 29 (Reporter) President Droupadi Murmu's visit to participate in the 9th Convocation of Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) in Tiruvaur district of Tamil Nadu was cancelled in view of Cyclonic Storm Fengal. However, the event will be held as scheduled with Prof. G.Padmanaban, Chancellor of CUTN, as the chief guest, official sources said on Friday night. The President who is on a 4-day visit to Tamil Nadu and was staying in Raj Bhavan at Udhagamandalam in the hilly Nilgiris district, was scheduled to reach Trichy by a helicopter from where she was expected to reach Tiruvarur for the convocation ceremony after which she was expected to return to New Delhi from Sulur Airbase, where she arrived on November 27, or Trichy airport. In view of the Cyclone, which will bring extremely heavy rains, including in Tiruvarur, her visit to CUTN convocation was cancelled due to weather conditions...////...
