Pune, Feb 6 (Reporter) Delhi Capitals’ Niki Prasad received an overwhelming reception from her teammates as she joined the side in Pune for the pre-season camp ahead of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025, set to begin on February 14 in Vadodara. Niki, who recently led the India U19 team to a historic World Cup victory in Kuala Lumpur, has garnered widespread attention after defeating South Africa in the final. Delhi Capitals players made sure to celebrate the World Cup-winning captain’s achievement, giving her a grand welcome at the camp. "I expected there would be cameras, but I didn’t expect the players to welcome me this way. It made me very happy, and I’m thankful to all the players for such a grand reception," Niki said, clearly moved by the warm gesture. Reflecting on the U19 World Cup final, Niki highlighted the importance of composure. "The key to our success was staying calm and composed during the final.
