Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship celebrates 10 yrs of innovation

Mumbai, Feb 1 (Reporter) The Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE) at the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay commemorated its remarkable 10-year journey with the ‘DSSE Entrepreneurship Day’ held at the Institute premises on Wednesday. Established in 2014, the Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship trains aspiring entrepreneurs through courses and pre-incubation programmes. The Centre was set up through generous contributions of alumnus Bharat Desai (BTech, Electrical Engineering, 1975) and his wife Ms Neerja Sethi, both co-founders of Syntel Inc, and the Desai Sethi Foundation. In its decade-long journey, the DSSE has accomplished significant milestones, including training of over 3,000 students, mentoring more than 750 individuals, forming over 200 venture teams, and initiating more than 60 startups. Highlighting visionary journey of DSSE, Desai said, “I have a deep-rooted conviction about transformational impact of education and entrepreneurship in society. Our entrepreneurial journey has been so fulfilling, we felt compelled to launch a school to enable thousands of young men and women to pursue their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs and changing the world.
