Designated Odisha Governor Kambhampati offers prayers to Lords at Sri Jagannath Temple

Puri, Jan 2 (Reporter) Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, the designated Governor of Odisha, arrived at Puri Raj Bhavan on Thursday with his family and offered prayers to the Lords at Sri Jagannath Temple. The Chief Administrator of the Sri Jagannath Temple, Aravind Padhee, along with the Collector Sidharth Sankar Swain and the Superintendent of Police Binit Agarwal, gave him a warm reception. Amid tight security, Kambhampati was escorted to the temple, where he offered prayers and had darshan of Lord Jagannath and his siblings. The family also visited the Mahalaxmi and Vimala temples located within the Srimandir premises. The temple administration presented the designated Governor with a Khandua (a traditional cloth), the flag, and other relics of the Trinity. Kambhampati will stay at the Puri Raj Bhavan tonight, and on Friday morning, he will travel to Bhubaneswar to take the oath as the Governor of Odisha. Earlier, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi welcomed him upon his arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport.
