Mysuru, April 14 (Reporter) Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda on Sunday flayed Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar for speaking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a disrespectful manner.
"A Chief Minister of six crore people talks lightly about a Prime Minister of 140 crore people who was strengthening the nation's economy," he said, addressing a historic NDA rally which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the runup to the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka.
He stressed upon the importance of respecting the Prime Minister, who he believes is working towards strengthening India's economy.
Gowda also expressed his dissatisfaction with the current Congress government in Karnataka, accusing it of misusing state resources to fund elections in other states.
He disclosed that he had instructed his son, HD Kumaraswamy, to join forces with Modi to prevent this alleged misuse of funds.
Furthermore, Gowda lauded Modi's efforts in elevating India's economy to the fifth-largest globally and expressed his desire for the BJP-JDS coalition to secure a significant number of seats from Karnataka in the upcoming elections to support Modi's vision.
On the other hand, former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa claimed that their alliance was gaining momentum and slammed Congress for relying on money, liquor, and muscle power, as well as misusing official resources.
Yediyurappa expressed confidence that the Congress government would not continue to rule Karnataka after the election results are announced...////...
