Bengaluru, May 23 (Reporter) In a major development in the Karnataka sex video scandal, Janata Dal (Secular) supremo HD Deve Gowda on Thursday sternly urged his grandson, Prajwal Revanna, to return to India and face legal proceedings.
Prajwal, the JDS MP from Hassan, has been absconding after a woman who worked in his household accused him of sexual harassment. Gowda, taking to his official X handle, insisted that Prajwal should surrender to the authorities and face the consequences if found guilty.
"It is not an appeal but a warning," Gowda stated, emphasising that Prajwal would face familial and legal repercussions if he did not comply. He assured that neither he nor his family would interfere with the investigation, underscoring his commitment to justice for the victim.
The statement follows Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting that Prajwal's diplomatic passport be scrapped and and prompt action taken to secure his return.
Siddaramaiah highlighted the nationwide concern over the allegations and criticised Prajwal for fleeing to Germany on April 27, shortly before the first FIR was filed against him...////...
