Mumbai, Feb 6 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has asserted that it is necessary to prepare a development plan in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pilot programme for Viksit Bharat 2047 and its effective implementation.
Fadnavis's statement came during an address at a NITI Aayog meeting at his Meghdoot residence in Mumbai on Wednesday night, where he met Chief Executive Officer V B R Subrahmanyam.
During the meeting, Subrahmanyam gave a computer presentation on the concept of NITI Aayog and the areas in which the state is expected to work.
Fadnavis said that state's speed of development is more than that of other states. "We are working to increase it in the future," he added.
Many big projects and development works are going on in the state, and the government is working on accelerating their implementation. "New investment is also coming," he claimed.
Subrahmanyam said there are huge investment opportunities in Mumbai, which is the only Indian city with a Rs 2 trillion investment capacity.
He recommended that Maharashtra work in the fields of artificial intelligence, biotechnology and quantum computing, as it has both opportunities and potential in these sectors.
Maharashtra's performance in the energy sector is the best in the country, and its work in this sector should be a guide for other states, said the NITI Aayog official.
The development plan of Maharashtra is ready, and it should be accelerated, he said, expressing the hope that the ongoing development works would be reviewed regularly...////...
