DK Suresh speaking ill of Dr Manjunath due to fear of losing LS poll: Kumaraswamy

Bengaluru, March 14 (Reporter) Karnataka JD(S) President HD Kumaraswamy on Thursday accused Congress MP DK Suresh of speaking ill of his brother-in-law Dr CN Manjunath due to fear of defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Suresh had criticised Dr Manjunath for being selected as the BJP candidate against him from Bengaluru Rural Parliamentary Constituency. Kumaraswamy defended Dr Manjunath, portraying him as a figure of selflessness and service, contrasting him with Suresh, whom he characterizes as selfish and engaged in looting. "The entire country knows who Dr Manjunath is and what you are DK Suresh. Dr CN Manjunath vs DK Suresh, Selflessness vs Selfishness, Service vs Loot, Good vs Bad. There is no need to say anything more," JDS leader Xed and asked the Congress leader not to speak ill about Dr Manjunath. Kumaraswamy questioned the morality of the dominance of the Suresh family in the Congress party, pointing out various family members holding significant positions within the party. "What morality do you have to speak about the Deve Gowda family? The entire State Congress party is captive of your (DK Suresh) family. Your elder brother is Deputy Chief Minister, your sister’s husband is MLC while another is Kunigal MLA. Is this family politics or family package D K Suresh?" the JD(S) President asked in a post on X. He also criticized Suresh for focusing on attacking the Deve Gowda family (to which Kumaraswamy belongs) instead of addressing issues within his own Congress party. Kumaraswamy also suggested that Suresh should concentrate on his own party's problems rather than criticizing others, particularly given the numerous scandals associated with the Congress party nationally. "Forget about Deve Gowda's party. But first, worry about your party. If one goes on describing the scams by Congress all over the country, it will be a big novel. There is a big bandicoot on your plate. Don’t bother about the fly in other’s plate. Is there another word than Awkward to describe you?" the former Chief Minister asked...////...
