Kalaburagi, April 12 (Reporter) Expressing confidence about the Congress party's prospects in Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday claimed there is no BJP wave, emphasising the popularity of the five guarantee wave.
"A big trend is going on here. There is no wave of BJP in the state. It is only a Congress wave and five guarantee wave which has been there," he told reporters here.
Shivakumar also predicted that Congress will secure more than 20 Lok Sabha seats in the state. He also believed in a potential shift in state politics, hinting at the possibility of the JDS merging with the BJP or facing expulsion from the NDA coalition.
"Congress party will win more than 20 seats in Karnataka... There will be a change in Karnataka. His (HD Kumaraswamy) party (JDS) is going to merge with BJP or BJP will throw them out of their NDA," he said.
The Deputy CM is in the city to attend the filing of nomination by Congress candidate Radhakrishna Doddamani from the Kalaburagi seat. AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge will also participate in the event. Doddamani is the son-in-law of Kharge...////...
