Mumbai, Nov 25 (Reporter) Accusing IPS officer Rashmi Shukla of violating the model code of conduct by meeting Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, state Congress chief spokesperson Atul Londhe on Monday demanded the Election Commission take a serious note of the infringement and initiate immediate action against Shukla. Londhe said in Telangana, when the Director General of Police and a senior officer similarly met a senior minister, the Election Commission took immediate action against them. The Election Commission takes immediate action in non-BJP states, but doesn't see anything in BJP-ruled states, he said. Shukla has committed serious offences like tapping the phones of opposition leaders. Shukla was removed from the post of Director General of Police when the Congress pressed on the issue during the election.
