Bhubaneswar, Dec 24 (Reporter) East Coast Railway(ECoR) has announced the operation of special trains for the convenience of pilgrims traveling to the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela, scheduled to take place in 2025.
These special trains will provide easy connectivity from several key cities across the region to the sacred city of Prayagraj, where the Maha Kumbh Mela will be held.
ECoR sources said the Bhubaneswar – Tundla – Bhubaneswar Special Train via Kendujhargarh-Bokaro & Gaya. This train will leave from Bhubaneswar at 1230hrs on Wednesdays, on 1st, 8th, 22nd January, 5th, 19th, 26th February 2025.
The Puri – Tundla – Puri Special Train via Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak-Gaya will leave from Puri at 1230hrs on Mondays, i.e. on 6th & 20th January 6 and 20, and February 17.
The Titilagarh – Tundla – Titilagarh Special Train via Sambalpur-Jharsuguda-DDU will leave from Titlagarh at 1230hrs on Thursdays, i.e. on January 9,16 a 23 and February 6,20,23.
Visakhapatnam – Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn (DDU) – Visakhapatnam Special Train via Rayagada-Titlagarh-Raipur-Katni will leave from Visakhapatnam at 1735hrs on Thursdays, January 9,16,23 and February 6,20,27.
The Visakhapatnam – Gorakhpur – Visakhapatnam Special Train via Bhubaneswar-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda special train will leave from Visakhapatnam at 2220hrs on Sundays, i.e. on January 5, 19 and February 16.
These special trains on the way to Tundla, will pass through Prayagraj Station, providing direct access for pilgrims heading to the Mela.
These special trains are specifically running to assist thousands of devotees traveling to the Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
