ED gets permission for seven days custodial interrogation of former MLA Gulab Yadav

Patna, Oct 25 (Reporter) Special Court of Enforcement Directorate(ED) on Friday granted permission for seven days custodial interrogation of incarcerated former MLA Gulab Yadav for violation of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and amassing assets disroportionate to his known sources of income. Principal District and Session Judge cum special judge of Enforcement Directorate (ED) Rupesh Dev after hearing arguments on a petition filed by ED seeking permission for 14 days custodial interrogation, granted permission of his only seven days custodial interrogation. Special Court issued directive to jail authorities to hand over Yadav to ED for seven days of custodial interrogation. As it is, Gulab Yadav and IAS officer Sanjeev Hans were arrested by ED recently and sent to jail after evidence of violation of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and amassing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income, came to light.
