ED searches properties of Jharkhand IAS official, minister aide

Ranchi, Oct 14 (Reporter) Properties belonging to an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) official and an aide of a Jharkhand's water minister were searched by the Enforcement Directorate on Monday at 20 locations in connection with a money laundering case related to alleged wrongdoings in the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission. The ED also raided the house of IAS Manish Ranjan's sister in Bariatu, Ranchi. Apart from Ranjan, raids were also conducted against several departmental engineers including Minister Mithilesh Thakur's Personal Secretary Harendra Singh and the minister's brother Vinay Thakur.
