Eluru, May 3 (Reporter) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday said the results of the upcoming election will decide the future of the state for five years with the continuation of welfare schemes and stressed that it is not just to elect MPs and MLAs.
Addressing an election meeting in Narasapuram in West Godavari district, Reddy said: “Kurukshetra war is going to happen in the next ten days. If you vote for Jagan Mohan Reddy in this election, all the welfare schemes will continue. If you vote for Chandrababu Naidu, it will be the end of the schemes.”
Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu often says that he was the Chief Minister for 3 terms. But if you mention his name, will any poor person in this state remember at least one good thing he has done?” asked the Chief Minister.
He explained the education revolution in government schools like English medium, Byju's content, TOEFL classes, and subject teachers that are available from the third standard. “CBSE to IB curriculum, free Tabs for 8th standard students, digital boards from 6th standard, bilingual textbooks are available for the government school students,” the Chief Minister said.
“Today, the mothers send their children to schools in a way that was never seen in the past. We have given 31 lakh house title deeds in the name of women beneficiaries of which 22 lakh houses are under construction. For the first time, Mahila police are deployed in villages, Disha app for safety, 50% reservation to empower women happened in the last 59 months,” he claimed.
In terms of farmers' support, the YSRCP government has given Rythu Bharosa (financial assistance), e-crop for farmers, free crop insurance, RBKs to help procure seeds and buy crops, free quality electricity for nine hours during the day, input subsidy, he highlighted.
The YSRCP government has implemented the Arogyasri scheme, which provides free medical insurance up to Rs 25 lakh free of charge, Arogya Asara to help them post surgeries, family doctor concept, village clinics which has never happened in the history of the state, Reddy said.
“We have directly deposited Rs.2.70 lakh crores into the accounts of beneficiaries for various schemes by pressing the buttons 130 times without any bribes and discrimination,” the Chief Minister said.
He asked the people to cast their two votes for YSRCP for good governance, volunteers to deliver services at the doorstep, and all other schemes.
