Mumbai, Jan 24 (Reporter) Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP) National President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday urged his party workers to focus on ensuring that a maximum number of its members get elected in the upcoming statewide local body elections.
Pawar urged party workers to work keeping the upcoming civic body elections in mind. "The timeline may seem long, but days pass by quickly. Work diligently and attentively," he appealed.
Around 50 office-bearers from various parties in 50 villages of the Naigaon constituency in Nanded district joined the NCP at the meeting. Addressing the gathering, Pawar focused on the upcoming local self-government elections and called for collective efforts to strengthen the party’s image and reach.
He added, "We are working to bring new and dynamic workers into the party to maintain a positive image among the people. Efforts should be made to strengthen the party's presence in Nanded district and the city. The party and government will provide all necessary support for these efforts."
The NCP has initiated a membership drive to involve people from all sectors. Citing the success of the legislative elections, Pawar stated that it is the party's responsibility to address the people’s issues effectively.
Pawar assured the party would ensure its workers remain active and motivated, promising well-structured work plans. He stressed that the NCP focuses on politics and understanding and resolving issues affecting all communities.
