Chennai, Jan 16 (Reporter) Former AIADMK MP and two time MLA P R Sundaram, who later joined the DMK, died due to health related issues at Rasipuram in Salem district of Tamil Nadu on Thursday. He was 73. He was elected to the State Assembly twice from 1996 to 2001 and 2001 to 2006 from Rasipuram constituency. Later, he was elected elected to the Lok Sabha from Namakkal from 2014 to 2019 on AIADMK ticket. However, after the demise of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, he threw his weight behind O Panneerselvam. However, he later joined the DMK and was made Deputy Propaganda Secretary of the party. His last rites would be held this evening. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin condoled his death and said he had a very long political tenure.
