Bengaluru, July 14 (Reporter) In a shocking revelation, Bengaluru Police have lodged a second FIR against former Waqf Board CEO Zulfiqarullah for his alleged involvement in a Rs 4 crore financial scam. This latest development comes eight years after the first FIR was filed in 2016. According to the complaint filed by Ahmed Abbas, Chief Accounts Officer of the Waqf Board, Zulfiqarullah brazenly siphoned off Rs 4 crore from the Indian Bank's Benson Town branch in Bengaluru to the Kolar branch in 2016, during his tenure as CEO. The investigation has exposed a trail of corruption, revealing that the government had allocated Rs 2.29 crore for the development of a dargah in Kalaburagi, and an additional Rs 1.79 crore was transferred from the Muzarai Department to the Waqf Department in 2016. However, Zulfiqarullah allegedly misappropriated the entire amount, causing a staggering financial loss of Rs 8 crore to the Waqf Department. The CID team has completed its investigation, and the police are set to gather evidence for further action. This scandal comes hot on the heels of another high-profile case involving former minister B Nagendra, who is currently in ED custody for his alleged role in a money laundering scam involving the Karnataka Maharishi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation Limited, with a whopping Rs 187 crore under investigation...////...
