Chennai, Sep 9 (Reporter) Executives from various Tamil associations in Chicago
met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and extended their congratulations
on his official visit to the US to attract business investments to the State.
Under the leadership of Mr Stalin over the past three years, the Tamil Nadu
government has effectively attracted high-tech industries, resulting in
substantial investments and the creation of numerous jobs.
The administration is also pursuing various strategies to achieve its objective
of turning TamilNadu into a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030.
In this regard, as part of efforts to attract investments for establishing more
industries that symbolize growth in Tamil Nadu and to create a significant
number of job opportunities for the youth, the Chief Minister is currently on
an official government visit to the United States.
During this visit, in the presence of Mr Stalin several MoUs were signed with
leading global companies, and he also met with top executives of various
companies, inviting them to make new industrial investments in Tamil Nadu,
an official release here on Monday said.
Additionally, during this visit, the Chief Minister interacted with Tamil expatriates
in the US and took part in events hosted by Tamil associations in San Francisco
and Chicago, engaging in conversations with the Tamil community.
Continuing this, in Chicago, executives from various organizations such as the
Tamil Nadu Foundation, the Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America
(FeTNA), Chicago Tamil Sangam, Aram Chicago, Lake County Tamil Association,
Agaram Tamil Academy, Annai Tamil Academy, St. Louis Tamil Sangam, India
Tamil Sangam, Greater Milwaukee Tamil Sangam, McLean County Tamil Sangam,
Michigan Tamil Sangam, Iowa Tamil Sangam, Northeastern Wisconsin Tamil Sangam,
Wisconsin Tamil Sangam, Minnesota Tamil Sangam, Tennessee Tamil Sangam,
Kentucky Tamil Sangam, American Tamil Entrepreneurs Association (ATEA), Global
Our Teams Association, Tamil Technology Entrepreneurs Council (TTEC), Ezhuchi
American Association, Columbus Tamil Sangam, Kansas Tamil Sangam, Northeast
Ohio Tamil Sangam, Peoria Tamil Sangam, Dayton Tamil Sangam, the American
Tamil Medical Association (ATMA), American Tamil Schools Association, Greater
Cincinnati Tamil Sangam (GCTS), and Quad City Tamil Sangam met the Chief
Minister and extended their congratulations on his official visit to the U.S. to
attract business investments for Tamil Nadu.
They also expressed their best wishes for the success of his trip and for securing
significant investments for the state.
During the event, the Mr Stalin, encouraged them to avoid any internal divisions
and to visit Tamil Nadu with their families at least once a year.
He also expressed great pleasure in meeting them and extended his best wishes
for the well-being of Tamil expatriates in the U.S.
