Expedite leakage prevention work of Dudhganga-Kalammawadi dam at earliest: Maha Minister

Kolhapur, Apr 19 (Reporter) Maharashtra and District Guardian Minister, Prakash Abitkar, on Saturday instructed Water Resources department to plug leakage from Dudhganga-Kalammawadi dam at earliest before onset of the monsoon season. He gave this instruction during an inspection tour of the Dudhganga-Kalammawadi dam, which supplies water to Kolhapur and neighbouring Karnataka. He said that for many years, farmers and citizens have been demanding that the leakage from this dam be repaired. The state government has provided funds to prevent this leakage and the work of leakage prevention is under way, he added and instructed to expedite this leakage prevention work at earliest before onset of the monsoon season...////...
