Nagpur, Dec 21 (Reporter) Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday assured in the Maharashtra Assembly that he will do justice to the people of the state by achieving balanced development in backward areas of Vidarbha, Marathwada, North Maharashtra, Konkan and the rest of the state.
He said that irrigation projects in Vidarbha, Marathwada, industrial projects will be completed and watergrid projects in Marathwada will be launched soon.
The Chief Minister said that with Gadchiroli emerging as a steel city, it will bring Naxalism there under control in next three years.
Also, opportunities for water tourism will be created at the Gosi Khurd project with huge investments by the central and state governments, he said.
Furthermore, mining projects have been taken up on priority in Gadchiroli-Chandrapur-Wardha-Bhandara-Nagpur, he said.
In this, an investment of Rs 50,000 crore has been made in a mineral-based project in Gadchiroli, said
