Karimnagar, Dec 22 (Reporter) Telangana DGP Jitender emphasised the need for responsible behaviour from everyone, including film celebrities, and stressed that public safety should take precedence over promotional activities.
Speaking at the inauguration of a Bharosa Centre in Kothapalli, Karimnagar district, the DGP addressed recent incidents involving actors Allu Arjun and Manchu Mohan Babu.
Referring to the stampede at Sandhya Theater during Allu Arjun's event and the alleged attack on a media representative by Mohan Babu, he stated that such incidents were unacceptable from a public safety standpoint.
"Action will be taken against Mohan Babu as per the law. We are not personally against anyone. However, as citizens, everyone, including celebrities, must act responsibly.
Public safety and protection are more important than film promotions. Even though someone may be a hero in films, they are ordinary citizens outside. The police department functions strictly within the law, and cases will be registered against anyone who acts unlawfully," DGP Jitender clarified.
The DGP also pointed out that the matter involving Mohan Babu stemmed from a personal family dispute and suggested that such issues should be resolved privately.
“Our primary focus is on public safety. Film celebrities should consider local conditions and avoid activities that jeopardise safety. The Telangana government is actively supporting initiatives for the safety of women and children, and the establishment of Bharosa Kendras is a step toward ensuring round-the-clock protection for citizens,” he added...////...
