Patna, Dec 29 (Reporter) FIRs have been lodged against the founder of 'Jan Suraaj ' Prashant Kishor, popularly known as PK, and 20 others on Sunday for instigating BPSC aspirants to agitate to demand the reconducting of the preliminary test held on December 13.
District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh confirmed the lodging of an FIR against Kishor for instigating BPSC aspirants. President of 'Jan Suraaj' Manoj Bharti had also been booked for the same offence, he stated.
Besides Kishor and Bharti, FIRs have also been lodged against 19 named accused and more than 600 to 700 unnamed persons in connection with violations of the law by them during the agitation of BPSC aspirants. Lawful action would be taken against them for the offence, said the authorities.
As it is, on suggestion from Kishor, BPSC aspirants had organised a students parliament at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Sunday to discuss the issue of the impasse over the reluctance of the government in reconducting the preliminary test for the 70th combined competitive examination of BPSC.
Kishor had exhorted them to agitate during his address, following which they took out a protest march that resulted in a clash between them and the police. To disperse them near JP roundabout, police had first used water cannons and then resorted to lathicharge...////...
