Kolkata, May 2 (Reporter) In a brazen attack, three unidentified miscreants opened fire in the TMC-run gram panchayat office at Bankra under Domjur police station in Howrah district, wounding two persons, official sources said on Thursday. The injured were the father and uncle of gram panchayat no 3 Pradhan Tuktuki Sheikh. She said three unidentified miscreants covering their faces suddenly entered her office around 1245 hrs and opened firing from their loaded guns in which her father and uncle received bullets wounds. " They were also targeting me but during firing I hid hid myself under the table and then I retaliated and snatched a gun from an attacker before they ran away, ' Tuktuki Sheikh said. A huge posse of police contingent arrived and RAF was deployed after the firing incident in the government-owned building at Bankra gram panchayat 3. After the brazen shootout in the government-run gram panchayat office, hundreds of people arrived there protesting the violence.
