Chennai, Oct 1 (Reporter) Floral tributes were paid to Thespian Sivaji Ganesan on the
occasion of his 97th birth anniversary on Tuesday.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, accompanied by his Cabinet colleagues,
garlanded the legendary actor's statue and paid floral tributes to a decorated
portrait of Sivaji Ganesan at his memorial in the city.
The family members of the late actor, including his son and actors Ramkumar and
Prabhu were present on the occasion.
After posing for a group photograph with their family members, Mr Stalin visited
a photo exhibition tracing the film journey and life history of the actor at the venue.
Later, in a social media Mr Stalin hailed Sivaji Ganesan who stood as an example
for acting and friendship and paid rich tributes.
Actor and MNM Founder Kamal Haasan also took to social media to paid tributes
the legendary actor.
He said "Times may change, technology may increase, and the face of cinema
itself may be destined for change. But the contribution of Sivaji sir, the great artist
who showed us what the pinnacle of acting looks like, is unforgettable."
